We would particularly like to extend an invitation to businesses of any size working in the areas of:

  • Hydrogen
  • Carbon Capture, Utilisation and Storage (CCUS)
  • Offshore Engineering
  • Materials and Processing
  • Circular Economy

There will be opportunities for you to connect and potentially partner with other organisations and explore collaborative projects moving forward.

This event is focused on the Tees Valley net zero cluster and seeks to build on the Net Zero Teesside project and align with the Tees Valley Hydrogen Transport Hub.

Net Zero Teesside is a Carbon Capture, Utilisation and Storage (CCUS) project that aims to decarbonise a cluster of carbon-intensive businesses by as early as 2030 and deliver the UK’s first zero-carbon industrial cluster. Working in partnership with local industry and with committed, world class partners, the Project plans to capture up to 10 million tonnes of carbon dioxide emissions, the equivalent to the annual energy use of over 3 million UK homes. CCUS is a key part of Tees Valley’s plan for clean growth and green jobs along with industrial scale hydrogen production and clean energy. Tees Valley Combined Authority has also partnered with Teesside University on the Net Zero Industry Innovation Centre.

The objective of the Tees Valley Hydrogen Transport Hub is to overcome the adoption barrier for end users of all transport modes through first-hand operational experience, technical, economic and user evidence and dissemination to the industry.

We are seeking to maximise the region’s distinctive world-leading innovation capabilities, to deliver additional jobs, growth and higher productivity.

As part of the event, speakers from Innovate UK, the Tees Valley Combined Authority, and Innovate UK KTN will cover the key assets and opportunities for business innovation locally. The wrap-around support available for organisations will be detailed, including local and national networking and collaboration opportunities.
