Agenda

  • 10:10 – Conor Wall | IPL GLOBAL

We are excited to hear from global head of sustainability at IPL, Conor Wall, who will share his story of how, when faced with a directive from his shareholders to achieve Net Zero, he looked at IPL’s global footprint and questioned how he could create an auditable mechanism for capturing scope 1, 2 & 3 carbon emissions, to start an investment programme.

He started with an off-the-shelf platform, and then did a U-turn 2 years ago when he met Ameresco, who’s solution was a game changer for the business.

IPL is a leading packaging provider, partnering with customers to deliver sustainable solutions to the food, consumer, agricultural, logistics and environmental end-markets. They have 29 facilities from the US to China, housing more than 500 moulding machines, and more than 400M square metres of manufacturing and R&D space. Their mission for moulding the future of sustainable packaging is that they succeed by partnering with their customers to create packaging products that are designed with a strong focus on protection and circularity.

  • 10:20 – Karthik Suresh | Ameresco

Karthik Suresh, MBA, a management consultant at Ameresco will provide an overview of how, utilising the power of AI through an industry standard c-suite platform, has enabled a zero friction methodology to be introduced globally that is guiding strategic investment in IPL’s vision to achieve net zero.

Heading up the development project, Karthik will share with us the insights on the importance of using appropriate technology, and indeed the route to net zero is much bigger than in factory energy use. The platform developed has been hailed by Ernst & Young (EY) as best in class for carbon reporting.

Ameresco, Inc. is a leading cleantech integrator and renewable energy asset developer, owner and operator. Their comprehensive portfolio includes energy efficiency, infrastructure upgrades, asset sustainability and renewable energy solutions delivered to clients throughout North America and the United Kingdom.
