The event is aimed at photonics companies/researchers and end-users that are developing photonics-related healthcare technology, with a focus on medical diagnostics. It will also be relevant for photonics and related technology companies more widely, as it will look at different uses of the technology and offer networking opportunities.

The morning session will highlight some current research, looking at different uses of photonics for medical diagnostics with the aim of stimulating interest and future collaborations. Photonics has wide applicability across healthcare, and this is more relevant than ever in the current climate, where new technology developments are needed to address the global challenge. It is vital that disruptive photonics technologies move swiftly from lab bench to the market and so the technical talks will be followed by an overview of current funding opportunities, including the latest Covid-19 related calls.
