Accelerating innovation and delivering change in the field of bioprocessing and biologics

Posted on: 01/06/2017

BioProNET will hold its 4th annual science meeting on 10th-11th October 2017 in Warwick.

Biologics have many applications, including in therapeutics such as biopharmaceuticals or as non-therapeutics, for example in diagnostics, industrial enzymes, for drug screening, and for crystallization and structural studies.

BioProNet is a BBSRC Network in Industrial Biotechnology and Bioenergy (NIBB), with a focus on the use of cells and their components (bioprocessing) to produce biologics (such as antibodies).

Registration is now open for BioProNET’s flagship annual science meeting, which this year will be held at the Slate Conference Centre, Warwick on 10th-11th October 2017.

Photo galleries are not available for content from the previous KTN website: we apologise for this.

The programme will include sessions on

  • Designing more efficient cell-expression systems
  • Building expression systems into optimised process
  • Proof of concept
  • Molecular characterisation of process quality
  • Upstream meets downstream: rapid process development

There are also opportunities for poster presentations and you can submit an abstract for a short talk.

These events tend to be oversubscribed, so if you wish to attend, early registration is recommended. You can view the full programme and register at http://biopronetuk.org/biopronet-4th-annual-science-meeting.

KTN’s Biotechnology Team are also available to discuss opportunities and support mechanisms for innovation in the field of Industrial Biotechnology and Bioenergy. You may also be interested in our upcoming Biopharmaceutical Formulation Group meeting on 11th July in Manchester.
