Adding value through collaboration in synthetic chemistry

Posted on: 04/08/2017

The Synthetic Chemistry Academic–Industrial Ideas Exchange event aims to identify research topics of mutual interest to industry and academia.

The Dial-a-Molecule Grand Challenge Network and ChemSInC (Chemical Synthesis Industries Consortium) are inviting the synthetic chemistry community to a Sandpit event to explore collaborative research opportunities between Academia and Industrial partners that can lead to successful grant proposals.

The event, to be held at Imperial College London on 25th-26th September 2017, will include representatives from EPSRC and the Knowledge Transfer Network who will provide the current funding landscape and opportunities, and help develop funding strategies for collaborative projects.

This event will comprise discussion groups and workshops to identify research topics that are of mutual interest to industrial and academic partners and that can be developed into tangible projects. We aim to develop funding strategies and identify project partners to develop viable proposals that are capable of attracting significant levels of research funding.
