Are you an innovator looking for support to help you grow your business? Join us at our monthly informal information and networking event in London.

 

 

The session is designed to support digital companies and learn more about the Innovate UK family, including Digital Catapult and the Knowledge Transfer Network, as well as other organisations that have opportunities and support for UK based businesses across all sectors. This event will particularly support companies working within Cyber Security projects.

 

The engaging speakers will highlight a range of upcoming opportunities and various benefits for digital companies, researchers and academic institutions working across a diverse range of sectors.

Agata Samojlowicz

Since August 2019 Agata is Deputy Challenge Director for Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund Digital Security by Design programme. She has been key in the development of this programme, which focuses on hardware innovation. Prior to this Agata was Innovate UK’s Innovation Lead for Digital (Cyber Security), working with business, academia, and government to fund digital-related research and development that will help grow the UK economy.

Other major programmes she led include “Ensuring the Security of Digital Technology at the Periphery”, and the¬†DCMS (Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport)-funded Cyber Security programme to deliver a key National Cyber Security Strategy initiative: the Cyber Security Academic Startup Programme (“CyberASAP”).

 

Agata joined Innovate UK in July 2014 as a Lead Technologist for Online Commerce and has over 16 years’ experience of commercial digital activity. She started her career with T-Mobile International in their global Content Team and has worked for a number of innovative content developers and technology companies such as Disney, Capcom, Shazam and Tapjoy.

 

Robin Kennedy

Robin has a background as a software engineer and manager. He holds an MEng in Electric and Electronic Engineering.

He runs the CyberASAP Cyber Security Academic Startups Accelerator Programme at KTN.

 

Ollie Bone

Ollie leads Tech Nation Cyber, a yearly programme for Pre-Series A companies looking to scale domestically and abroad. Ollie has a background as a research analyst and has worked closely with DCMS since 2016. He supported the development of programmes such as Digital Catapult’s Cyber 101 before building the current programme in 2018.

2020 marks the second year of Tech Nation Cyber which companies across the UK will compete for one of 20 places. The programme enables participants to evolve at a quicker pace and gain valuable exposure to customers, investors and overseas markets.

 

Bradley Finn

Brad Finn is Head of Innovation within the cyber security team at the Department for Digital, Culture, Media and Sport, and is working to develop and grow the UK cyber security sector. He oversees projects funded by the National Cyber Security Strategy to drive the commercialisation of academic research, support startups and help the UK’s leading cyber SMEs to scale at home and abroad.

 

At the session, you’ll be able to:

  • Discover more about the various forms of support available from Innovate UK
  • Meet advisors who can help you navigate the innovation landscape as well as make valuable business introductions
  • Learn about the how the Knowledge Transfer Network and Digital Catapult work with businesses
  • Introduce your own digital business to others via a 3 minute showcasing presentation
  • Network with other businesses

Presentation slots are given on a first come first served basis at the event, by signing up on the sheet provided on the day. This will be open at 09:30. There will be a projector and laptop available at the venue. You can bring a maximum of 2 slides with you on a USB.
