Posted on: 07/03/2018

Applications are now open for the BrisSynBio 4-day More Business Acumen (MBA) course and registration is open for the BrisSynBio Connect pitch event.

BrisSynBio, a BBSRC / EPSRC funded Synthetic Biology Research Centre, and SynbiCITE , the Innovation and Knowledge Centre (IKC) for Synthetic Biology, are joining forces to deliver the BrisSynBio 4-day More Business Acumen (MBA) course, which is followed by the BrisSynBio Connect event.

This course is an interactive programme designed to provide the skills required to establish, build and manage a biotech company by drawing upon the experiences of seasoned entrepreneurs, patent attorneys and investors. During the course, participants will develop real biotech business ideas and pitch them to venture capitalists.

In the 2017 edition of this course four fantastic business plans were developed, one of which has already received significant funding and is now an incorporated VC backed biotech company.
