Data-Driven Decision Making for Bioprocessing Event, 19th September

Posted on: 22/07/2019

Join KTN and FDB on September 19th for an event covering data-driven decision making for bioprocessing.

KTN will be working alongside Fujifilm Diosynth Biotechnologies (FDB) in delivering an event on ‘Data-Driven Decision Making for Bioprocessing’ on Thursday 19th September at FDB in Billingham.

The event seeks innovative companies to help transform the next generation of biologic drugs manufacture, through the application of advanced of digital technologies. This Science Exchange event is targeted at small and medium-sized businesses, spinouts and academics to meet key FDB personnel to find out more about their Innovation Strategy and Open Innovation opportunities. Companies will be able to pitch their data-driven technology-driven products, services or processes to FDB, providing an excellent chance for potential business partnerships to be formed with FDB.

Alongside networking sessions, the event will grant delegates the opportunity to hear more about KTN’s Medicines Manufacturing Challenge Community, the ISCF Medicines Manufacturing Challenge, and forthcoming funding opportunities, such as via Made Smarter. KTN’s Medicines Manufacturing Challenge Community aims to connect and grow the community and we’re delighted to be working alongside FDB in this area. Building on KTN’s previous work and established communities in elements of the sector, our goal now is to develop a well-networked Challenge Community to accelerate the outcomes from the medicines manufacturing ISCF challenge. Working with the ISCF Challenge Director, our core goals are to connect and grow the sector, through working in partnership with other networks and organisations to facilitate collaboration and innovation across industry.

FDB is looking for visions and approaches to digitalise biopharma processes, by introducing machine learning, automation, predictive modelling, data analytics and knowledge-driven tools to bioprocess development, workflow, and operations. Through KTN’s community, the relevant outputs from the day will be publicised and will signpost businesses to mechanisms to underpin commercialisation, such as the Industrial Strategy Challenge Fund, Innovate UK funding as well as wider networks for example the Medicines Manufacturing Industry Partnership.

Please note that the closing date for applications is July 31st. You can apply here.
