Dial-a-Molecule: Transforming our ability to carry out chemical synthesis

Posted on: 01/06/2017

The Dial-a-Molecule network will hold its annual meeting on the theme of Transforming Chemical Synthesis on 21st June 2017 in Liverpool.

The appropriately named Dial-a-Molecule Network is a Grand Challenge Network funded by EPSRC to promote research aimed at step change in our ability to deliver molecules quickly and efficiently.

Outputs of this network have included the creation of a clear Roadmap for the Grand Challenge, and workshops and meetings for the molecule making community.

The Annual Meeting of the Dial-a-Molecule network for 2017 will focus on the technology, methodology and skills that are transforming our ability to carry out chemical synthesis in the 21st Century.

Talks will cover those aspects that should be available to every chemist, as well as more specialist areas which need to be widely accessible to maximise their impact and will range from current state-of-the-art capabilities to priorities for future development. There will also be an exhibition and networking opportunities.

Attendees at this event may also be interested in attending the RSC CICAG meeting in Liverpool the following day, June 22nd, ‚ÄòChemical Structure Representation ‚Äì What would Dalton do now?’

KTN’s Dr Peter Clark (Knowledge Transfer Manager, Raw Materials) will be attending this event, and our Chemistry Team are always happy to discuss opportunities and support mechanisms for innovation in the field of chemical synthesis.
