The funding landscape can be complex, so KTN’s Digital & Creative teams have compiled a list of some of the latest funding calls relevant to digital and creative industries, notably IoT, 5G, Cybersecurity, Blockchain and FinTech, bringing them together in one place – find out more below. DCMS Future RAN: Diversifying the 5G Supply Chain

Future RAN is an open competition, run by DCMS, that will allocate up to £30 million of R&D funding to projects that support the goals of the Government’s 5G Supply Chain Diversification Strategy. The competition is aimed at helping to incentivise industry to create new products and services to unlock the full potential of Open RAN.

Young Innovators Awards 2021/22

Innovate UK, part of UK Research and Innovation, will invest up to £460k in young innovators with this competition. The aim of this competition is to find a new group of young innovators that, with our help, can turn their great ideas into successful businesses.

Each winner will get £5k plus a living allowance in the form of a grant  based on 2 days working on your project each week for a year. it is anticipated that 32 awards will be given. Registration closes 28th July. Find out more

Innovate UK Smart Grants – May 2021

UK registered organisations can apply for a share of up to £25m for game-changing and commercially viable R&D innovation that can significantly impact the UK economy, with up to £500k for short projects or up to £2m for longer projects. This funding is from Innovate UK. Registration closes 25th August. Find out more

Horizon Europe Cluster 2: Culture, Creativity and Inclusive Society work Programme

Horizon Europe is the next European Funding Framework Programme, following on from its predecessor, Horizon 2020. Running until 2027, this €95.5 billion programme is made up of six clusters, including the Culture, Creativity and Inclusive Society cluster.

This cluster contains funding calls which focus on strengthening European democratic values, including rule of law and fundamental rights, safeguarding our cultural heritage, and promoting socio-economic transformations that contribute to inclusion and growth.
