Act now to ensure your business or charity receives updates on the government’s no deal funding guarantee.

 

Business and charities receiving grants from the EU need to act now to ensure they receive updates on the government’s no deal funding guarantee for Horizon 2020, says UK Research and Innovation (UKRI). UKRI is responsible for delivering specific aspects of the UK government’s EU exit no deal planning.

 

If the UK leaves the EU without a deal the UK government has guaranteed to fund all eligible successful grants from the EU’s flagship programme for research and innovation, Horizon 2020, that are submitted before the end of 2020. UKRI is managing delivery of the guarantee.

 

Anne Dixon, UKRI Head of Operations says more businesses and charities need to sign up to a special portal, launched by UKRI for current Horizon 2020 grant holders, to be kept informed: “All universities have been in contact to register but we know there are more businesses, charities and other organisations yet to sign up. We’ve put in a lot of work to be ready for a no deal if it happens, but we need grant holders to help us prepare. Thanks to everyone who has taken the time to get in touch so far. The research and innovation community can be assured that UKRI is ready for all eventualities as we exit the EU”.
