Event to showcase impact of Sustainable Aviation Fuel Special Interest Group

Event will examine how the SIG has supported the aviation fuel supply chain.

From feed stock providers to fuel producers, refineries to airlines, if you work in the aviation fuel supply chain, you are invited to Leeds on the 14th March to learn about the important work SAF SIG has done to help build the UK SAF supply chain.

Sponsored by Innovate UK, Department for Transport and Sustainable Aviation, the SAF SIG has delivered a portfolio of resources and activities to inform and connect businesses. This event provides a unique opportunity to network, build your connections and become informed on the latest developments for the sector.

There are a number of significant achievements to highlight over the past two years including:

  • Supporting over 100 companies, making 82 introductions and brokering 9 successful¬†collaborations.
  • Coordinating a knowledge exchange mission to the USA for five companies.
  • Delivering a competition to support companies with fuel testing and awarding an¬†auxiliary power unit to Sheffield University.

This is just a flavour of what has happened, so join us in Leeds to learn more, hear insights from experts and be part of the conversation about the steps needed if the UK is to seize the opportunities to develop and grow the SAF industry. Speakers include Leigh Hudson, British Airways, Keith Bushell, Airbus and Department for Transport on investment and policy mechanisms for SAF.
