Focusing on challenges and opportunities in formulation industries

Posted on: 21/08/2017

KTN and SCI are hosting a one-day event to give an overview of formulation.

Formulation science and technology represents a range of enabling capabilities that underpin many chemistry-using sectors including home and personal care, food and drink, agrochemicals, coatings and pharmaceuticals.

The KTN and SCI Formulation Focus event on 18th September in London will address industry trends, drivers and future opportunities and provide an opportunity to share best practice, ideas and knowledge across industry borders.

Speakers from across the formulation industries (personal care, pharmaceuticals, food, agrochemicals…) will share their experience and talk about the technical challenges and opportunities they encounter.

This event will appeal to scientists, industrialists and academics who are interested in formulation science and technology. Attendees will be provided with a unique opportunity to network with like-minded professionals from all branches of the industry.

Photo galleries are not available for content from the previous KTN website: we apologise for this.

Sessions will focus on:

UK Formulation and beyond – with presentations by Graeme Cruickshank (Director of the National Formulation Centre), Dr Rachael Rowlands-Jones (Formulation Lead, KTN), Dr Steve Fletcher (Head of Chemistry & IB, KTN).

UK Formulation Community (Formulation Science & Technology Group, Food Innovation Network, UK Fluids Network, Biopharmaceutical Formulation Group, Cosmetics Cluster, Formulation Forum).

Sector Challenges Advisory Panel (National Formulation Centre, Chemical Sciences Scotland, Bayer, Innospec and Unilever).

Posters and 5 minute Flash Presentations – submit an abstract by 13th September (deadline extended).

The meeting will close with a networking reception.
