Highways UK 2018, the flagship event for organisations involved in the planning, designing, building, operating and future-proofing of the UK’s road network, returns to the NEC, Birmingham on 7-8 November.
The event, which is free to attend, has a major exhibition alongside a multi-stream conference.¬† The key themes are ‚Äòstrategic roads network‚Äô, ‚Äòregional networks‚Äô, ‚Äòlocal authorities‚Äô, and ‚Äòurban mobility‚Äô, as well as the ‚Äòbig thinking‚Äô strand focusing on turning big thinking into opportunities.
The two-day agenda has a huge range of sessions from ‚Äòattracting private capital for infrastructure‚Äô to ‚Äòencouraging cycling‚Äô. Speakers include the Chair of the National Infrastructure Commission, the Director General (Roads, Motoring and Devolution) from the Department for Transport, the Chief Executive of Transport for the North and the Head of CAV Technologies at MIRA.¬† The detailed programme can be accessed here.
