On the 16th of October, KTN and Innovate UK hosted a workshop on forthcoming Horizon 2020 Circular Economy and Plastics related Calls.

“Further development of a sustainable, resource efficient and competitive economy will require a transition to a more circular economic model with products, processes, services and business models that are designed to maintain the value and utility of materials and resources in the economy for as long as possible.” Extract from Work Programme.

The workshop gave an overview of the forthcoming Horizon 2020 Societal Challenge 5, specifically Circular Economy and Plastic related research and Innovation Actions. Horizon 2020 is the European Union’s Research and Innovation Programme.
