Invitation for UK Businesses to Speak at BIOplus in Seoul this November

Department of International Trade in South Korea & KTN calling for UK applicants to speak at BIOplus 2019.

Korea Biotechnology Industry Organisation (Korea Bio) is hosting the BIOplus conference and exhibition for two days on 12th – 13th November 2019 at COEX in Seoul, South Korea.

 

The Department for International Trade in South Korea and KTN are promoting an opportunity for four UK-based businesses to speak at the BIOplus conference. The topic for British companies is around Advanced Therapies (cell & gene therapy and genomics) with the organisations presenting on 12th November from 14.00 – 17.00 to promote their work to the Korean companies, followed by a networking event.

 

The chance to present at such an esteemed event will provide the British companies with the following opportunities:

  • To explore a new and rapidly developing market which is one of the key markets in Asia.
  • To promote your organisation and offering in advanced therapies at one of the largest bio exhibitions/conferences in Korea.
  • To meet and network with Korean companies who are interested in the UK.
  • To have 1-to-1 meetings with Korean companies.

BIOplus

The theme of this year’s BIOplus conference is ‘Bio Innovation: Staying Ahead of the Curve’ and aims to bring together biotech industry leaders from around the world for education and networking opportunities. The event will focus on Korean innovation and global collaboration and¬†is expected to receive around 2,000 delegates from some 20 countries.

 

There will be sessions on the following topics: AI-based Drug Discovery; R&D; Cell Therapy; Microbiome; Microneedle; Stem Cell; Industrial Biotechnology; and many more. There will additionally be an Investment Forum and session on Global Market Strategy, as well as a Startup Pitch Competition.

 

Exhibitors will come from several areas, including from within the biopharmaceutical sphere (covering antibody therapeutics, cell/gene therapy, immunotherapy, vaccines, genomics), bio-based chemical specialists (which covers biofuel, cosmetics, energy, medical 3D printing, biocompatible materials), biomedical equipment manufacturers (for instance analytical equipment, diagnostic devices and medical devices), Bio-IT organisations (working in AI, big data, digital healthcare) and others (intellectual property, regulatory consulting, investors).
