KTN’s Global Alliance International work
KTN provides sector-focussed, thematic support to businesses and delivers programmes to accelerate global exploitation of UK innovation for economic growth and social development needs. Our Global Expert Mission programme plays a vital role in building the UK’s bilateral innovation partnerships. KTN Global Alliance Africa, a six-year project in partnership with Department for International Development (DFID) replaced by Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) and Innovate UK, is designed to support stronger innovation ecosystems across Kenya, South Africa and Nigeria.

The Global Ideas Exchange Series (GIdX) brought to you by KTN Global Alliance on 19th October 2020 was the first in a series of new activities designed to respond to Covid-19 and support resilience and recovery in African innovation ecosystems. We hope to encourage sharing and learning and aim to showcase the latest ideas and best practice in innovation.
KTN’s Global Alliance European Programmes work
KTN supports UK based businesses in engaging with Europe and Horizon 2020 (H2020) to help them access new markets and establish new collaborations across sectors and along value chains. We work closely with the UK H2020 National Contact Points (NCPs) and the Enterprise Europe Network to optimise the support for companies. KTN also participates in European projects where they support our purpose and strategy (e.g. Co-ordination & Support Actions). Visit KTN’s EU Programmes page.
KTN continues to support funding calls by signposting our network to them and by holding online briefing events. It is vitally important to keep money coming into business and we will be updating our funding pages with new calls as well as highlighting existing competitions.
