Digital Manufacturing Week is one of the leading events in the UK manufacturing calendar.

Organised by The Manufacturer, it attracts thousands of senior manufacturing executives and top industry experts across a wide landscape of industry sectors from 9 – 13 November 2020. It brings together some of the most popular and respected manufacturing events of the year, including:

KTN has been involved with The Manufacturer and Digital Manufacturing Week since 2015 and this year we are playing a pivotal role in many of the activities happening throughout the week.

KTN’s CEO Alicia Greated will speak at the Leaders Summit on the main stage on day 1.  Alicia will introduce KTN’s exciting new strategy and showcase how we make powerful connections that enable innovation and its deployment.  See the full agenda for the leaders’ summit here.

Working closely with our partners at Innovate UK, we have curated many of the speakers attending the Net Zero Arena on Thursday 12th November.  The Net Zero Arena is a full day of talks, featuring in particular inspiring manufacturers from a range of sectors that are making strides on net zero.  This will also include organisations who are integrating areas such as design and digital technology as enablers of net zero. As part of this day, KTN will be speaking about the support available for manufacturers looking to follow in their footsteps. You can find out more here.

Immersive technologies are transforming elements of the manufacturing process. Immerse UK in partnership with KTN are running a manufacturing panel – The Future of XR & Manufacturing on 9th November – exploring some of today’s immersive solution providers who are working with manufacturers to improve their processes.  Register for this event here.

All week, KTN will have a virtual exhibition stand where visitors can meet the KTN experts across digital manufacturing, product innovation and sustainable manufacturing to talk about funding, events and collaboration. The KTN team will explain the advantages of getting involved in our innovation networks such as UKCPN, Immerse UK, Robotics and Automation, Sensors and the new KTN SME Accelerator, focused on accelerating innovative chemistry and industrial biotechnology solutions for a net zero world.

The Made Smarter Emerging Tech Show, formerly known as Innovation Alley, brings together the latest cutting-edge innovative tech developer start-ups and scale-ups, eager to help manufacturers improve their competitiveness, productivity and efficiency.  KTN’s role has been to engage digital technology companies to exhibit at this event on Friday 13th November, through our powerful network of connections, partners and stakeholders.  We are also running a parallel investor showcase which has attracted a number of companies to pitch their ideas.

Head of Manufacturing at KTN, Ben Peace said, “We are really excited about this year’s Digital Manufacturing Week.  This global event is an instrumental part of the manufacturing calendar and we are pleased that we can contribute so much to this year’s activities. Following on from the recent launch of KTN’s new 5-year strategy, Digital Manufacturing Week will be a great way of helping us make connections for positive change.  If you are a technology developer or provider, a manufacturer, innovator or partner we would love to connect with you at the show, so please visit our virtual stand and talk to our experts.”
