Nesta has launched Amplified, a project looking for digital ideas that address social challenges and produce a social benefit.

Nesta, a UK charity and global innovation foundation, is looking for cultural and creative organisations trading for a minimum of three years in the UK who are not-for-profit or commercial, to submit ideas to their panel of industry experts.  The idea can be local or global as long as it has a real-world benefit.

The eight best ideas will be given £10k funding (30% match funding or in-kind support will be required), help with accelerating the digital idea and a mentor to help guide the winner through the opportunities and pitfalls as they look to amplify their social impact and get measurable results.

The ideas must have digital innovation at their heart but can expand beyond digital to include other elements such as a festival or live performance.  Existing projects requiring further development will be considered as long as they can demonstrate impact at scale and are clearly aligned with a beneficiary group.
