Register now for the SCREEN project final conference

Held on the 18th & 19th October in Rome the SCREEN final conference will present the outcomes of the project.

About SCREEN

The Synergic Circular Economy across European Regions (SCREEN) project’s mission is to create a consistent way to evaluate circular economy projects in European regions. It concentrates on developing a EU reference framework for establish operational synergies between Horizon 2020 and the¬†European Structural and Investment Funds¬†related to Circular Economy. The project has¬†12 partners from 9 countries, with¬†KTN¬†being a consortium member of the project.

SCREEN works on 4 steps:

  • How to identify local value chains
  • How to identify cross-regional synergies
  • How to finance cross-regional projects
  • How to assess projects’ circularity

 

The Final Conference

Held over two days between the 18th and 19th October in Rome, the final conference will present the outcomes of the project. The conference has been organised in order to allow the attendees to participate at the forum sessions and at the exhibition.

 

Draft Agenda:

Thursday 18 October

The institutional session will start just after the opening of the forum and the inaugural greetings given by national authorities, representatives of the EU and the Lazio Region in front of an audience of partners, representatives institutions and other important stakeholders of the event. The day will start at 9.30am with greeting and opening speeches until 11am.

The day will feature an introduction and outcomes of the project, a keynote speech from¬†Joan Prummel, Rijkswaterstaat (Dutch Ministry of Infrastructures and Water), a roundtable¬†session on “Cooperation among European Regions for an actual transition towards a circular economy”, as well as a Q&A session, poster exhibition and the option to¬†participate in the European Bioeconomy Network in the afternoon.

 

Friday 19 October

The morning of the 19th October will be dedicated to learning about the¬†UrbanWINS¬†European project, and how attendees can participate. The afternoon will feature the SCREEN technical session, in which the final deliverables will be presented including;¬†Methodology for Regional Cooperation, Policy Makers recommendation manual , Operational Plan – SCREEN future steps, and a session on SCREEN’s Policy Lab – results and future steps. At¬†4pm the ‚ÄúCompraverde‚Äù awards ceremony and the closing of the forum’s work will take place.
