The Society of Chemical Industry (SCI) has launched a new business planning competition for UK and ROI university students.

Entrepreneurial university students are being invited to form teams and develop business plans, with a chance of winning a £1,000 cash prize for the best pitch.

The SCI Bright SCIdea Challenge is a new business planning competition, designed to encourage students to think about the processes involved in starting their own business or launching a new product.

The competition is open to UK and ROI undergraduates and PhD students, who should form teams of 3-5 individuals. Entries should fall under SCI’s focus areas of agri-food, materials, health & wellbeing, energy and the environment.
