UK businesses can apply for a share of up to ¬£5 million to develop High Value Manufacturing and Artificial Intelligence Supported Design products with Canadian partners
Up to ¬£5m is available for UK-Canada manufacturing collaborations involving high value manufacturing and AI-supported design.
A business led collaboration between UK and Canada has been announced by Innovate UK as part of UKRI, the National Research Council Canada (NRC) and Industrial Research Assistance Programme (IRAP).
A combined investment of ¬£5m between the two countries will be available for both large and small companies to develop or deploy commercially viable¬†High Value Manufacturing¬†(HVM) and Artificial Intelligence Supported Design products and services.
Businesses have the opportunity to apply for funding for business-led Collaborative R&D (CR&D) projects, allowing UK and Canadian partners to develop innovative ideas to be exploited in large global markets.
Innovating with Canada provides opportunities for UK businesses to:
(1) co-develop and supply innovative goods and services into the larger companies that drive the Canadian economy;
(2) increase their own technological abilities and productivity within the UK; and
(3) form strong relationships with Canadian partners to access global business opportunities jointly.
