Vacancies for a Knowledge Transfer Manager and a Project Support Manager in our International team: apply by 26th April.

The purpose of KTN’s international team, led by Nee-Joo Teh, is to grow the UK economy by supporting current international business-focussed R&D programmes and developing new strategic global partnerships that foster the advancement and exploitation of UK innovation in targeted partner countries.¬†KTN‚Äôs international team runs projects requiring international R&D partnership building and future programme development, including income growth activities.

We currently have the following two vacancies, both full-time:

Knowledge Transfer Manager – Development and International Programmes
Salary: £30,907pa to £48,937pa depending on experience

Responsibilities include:

  • taking a leading role in management and delivery of KTN evolving international project portfolio, including Newton Fund, Global Expert Missions and future projects. This will include to lead the organisation of international missions in partnership with in-country partners.
  • leading the preparation and dissemination of strategic mission reports with a balance of strategic and technical depth, by working effectively with internal and external technical experts
  • supporting development of business strategies and implement of organisation-wide measures aligned to the long-term growth and positioning of KTN‚Äôs prominence in the innovation ecosystem. Pro-activeness in identifying new growth opportunities is essential.

Project Support Manager – International Programmes
Salary: £26,000pa to £34,000pa depending on experience

Responsibilities include:

  • leading the delivery, support, planning and organisation of activities in KTN‚Äôs evolving international project portfolio, including Global Expert Missions, Newton Fund and future projects. This will involve working across KTN teams and with external programme partners and contractors.
  • providing coordination and support in the preparation and dissemination of project/mission reports, with a requirement to work with internal and external stakeholders.
  • helping to initiate and maintain strong engagement and communication with businesses, counterparts in Innovate UK, Research Councils and other relevant stakeholders.

Both jobs can be office based in London or home based (which would involve frequent trips to London for the KTM post, and some for the Project Support post), and both will involve significant UK and overseas travel. Note that KTN issues company credit cards to book travel – you will not be expected to spend your own money and then claim it back.
