Want to work with key industry players in the UK’s road network?

Posted on: 29/07/2020

On the 4th and 5th of November 2020 ‘Highways UK, Roads for Connected Britain‘ comes back to the NEC in Birmingham. It is designed for people and organisations involved in the planning, designing, building, operating and future-proofing of the UK’s road network. Starting in 2015 the event attendees have grown each year with thousands of people visiting from across the UK and from overseas.

Popular with many visitors, and supported by KTN, are two annual innovation competitions that this year will culminate in live finals at Highways UK on 4/5 November 2020.

  • Intelligent Infrastructure Hub, sponsored by Costain, showcasing ideas for intelligent infrastructure projects or symptoms which utilise data
  • Civils and Materials Innovation Hub, sponsored by AECOM, showcasing innovative solutions used in the construction and maintenance of highways including physical products, components, systems, processes and materials

Each shortlisted candidate for the two competitions will be able to show off their solution for free and give a 5 minute presentation in The Hub to a panel of judges. Each category winer then goes through to a final and the chance to be awarded the winner of 2020s event.
