Knowledge Transfer Adviser
Mark is the Knowledge Transfer Adviser for NW London and Hertfordshire, responsible for developing and managing a portfolio of successful Knowledge Transfer Partnerships between businesses and academia.
The Knowledge Transfer Partnerships programme promotes business led, open innovation by connecting companies with academic expertise to enable them to grow their business. Mark looks after businesses supporting their projects with knowledge bases in many part of the country. Mark also maintains relationships with a number of designated universities in relation to their participation in the programme.
Mark possess experience in engineering design, manufacturing management and leadership. He previously worked at the Home Office, Centre for Applied Science and Technology, where as Head of Mechanical Engineering he led multi-discipline teams delivering projects for law enforcement and Government customers. Additionally, he has worked in a broad range of roles, across various manufacturing industry sectors, consistently delivering tangible business benefits. He has a passion for profitable design and manufacturing excellence, particularly with SMEs, where he believes ordinary people can make a massive difference, if given a little help. To this end he has written a series of books. Mark is committed to raising professionalism through mentoring and coaching. He is a Chartered Engineer and Fellow of both the IMechE and IET. Mark started his career as a KTP (TCS) Associate, so is pleased to be assisting to launch the career of others.
