Roya is the Director of the EM3 Growth Hub, UMi south east Commercial Director and Non-Executive Director at the Knowledge Transfer Network.  She is one of the original founders of Silicon Drinkabout Guildford, a technology SME/student/investor meet up with over 700 members.

She has spent the last 10 years working with over 300 small to medium sized businesses in a range of sectors including AI, Gaming, VR and immersive Tech, manufacturing, Space, food and drink and professional services across Surrey, Sussex and Hampshire.   She is passionate about driving and enabling collaboration across industries and raising awareness of the business support available to support innovation and digital transformation.  Roya has been a coach and consultant, providing tailored support, helping businesses with their strategy and delivery to maximise revenue, productivity and profit. She also uses a range of innovation tools to provide a framework for businesses to develop a people centred innovative culture.

Roya’s experience and expertise also comes from a career working for some of the top media houses in the UK including Reed Elsevier and Emap.  As Commercial Director across both B2C and B2B publications she was responsible for taking renowned global magazine brands to a digital platform, running leading magazine portfolios and developing new product strategies and investment, whilst also being responsible for key stakeholders.

Roya is a great believer that success comes from driving a culture of proactiveness throughout the whole organisation, starting with strong leadership. Her priorities include championing innovation, creativity and collaboration between Universities, small and larger businesses and business/funding support.
