Ruth is currently Director of RMR Consultants providing advisory services in relation to innovation strategies and execution. She works primarily in aerospace and aviation communities.

Prior to establishing RMR Consultants, Ruth was Chief Operating Officer of the Aerospace Technology Institute, having been appointed to establish the organisation operationally in 2014. The ATI strategically advises Government and industry on where to invest £300m pa into aerospace research and technology. Her responsibilities included all operational aspects spanning HR, Finance, IT, Facilities as well as stakeholder communications and engagement.

Prior to this, Ruth was the Director of the Aerospace, Aviation and Defence Knowledge Transfer Network, a Technology Strategy Board Programme. During her tenure Ruth established a UK R&D network across aerospace and made a significant contribution to securing and setting up the Aerospace Technology Institute.

Before being “adopted” by the aerospace community, Ruth worked across a range of sectors including professional services, retail, engineering and oil and gas. She works in transformation, innovation and knowledge exchange.

Ruth is currently a Trustee of Brooklands Museum and a member of the Association of Consulting and Engineering Advisory Board. She holds a Phd and BSc in Chemistry, is a member of the Royal Society of Engineering and a Fellow of the Royal Aeronautical Society. Ruth was awarded an OBE in 2015 for services to Science, Innovation and Knowledge Transfer.
