As the Knowledge Transfer Manager for Circularity & Smart Functional Materials, Veronica has a key role in supporting knowledge transfer and innovation across the Materials and Materials-using communities to enable a more sustainable future, with focus on Circular Economy, NetZero and the SDGs.


Veronica currently co-delivers the UK Circular Plastics Network, Smart Sustainable Plastic Packaging ISCF, the Zero Plastic Waste Network with focus on non-FMCGs, (formerly SIG) and the Commonwealth Marine Plastics Research&Innovation Framework activities at KTN.


Veronica holds a a Ph.D in Inorganic Chemistry. Her early research work resulted in a number of scientific papers and book chapters on inkjet formulation of functional materials for plastic, paper, textiles and on-body electronics applications. She is also co-inventor of the first graphene water-based ink, and co-recipient of the 2015 Eli and Britt Harari Graphene Enterprise Award which resulted in the creation of the spin-out ThInk2D Ltd. She was part of the EU consortium delivering the first-ever Technology Roadmap for Additive Manufacturing.


With deep expertise in academia/industry knowledge transfer and spin-out creation, Veronica has experience in both industry and academia and has led multi-partner national and international projects in a range of sectors.
