Web Lead - Digital (Edinburgh or London office based)

Purpose of the Role

Role and Responsibilities

  • Act as lead web manager for www.ktn-uk.org working with the head of online experience, marketing and data teams to maximise the value of KTN’s online experience for the KTN audience.
  • Lead a team of web managers responsible for increasing reach and engagement for KTN and our programmes across multiple (20+) online platforms.
  • Assist in bringing together a comprehensive and simple portfolio of websites and platforms that visibly align and share a consistently high-quality holistic KTN user-journey.
  • Work with KTN’s Comms and Campaigns teams to ensure that there is consistently high quality of online output – in both visual and user design – across www.ktn-uk.org and associated platforms.
  • Lead the KTN web team in gathering, collating and analysing online user journey metrics to enhance the quality of the KTN online experience.



  • Senior level experience of managing websites and online platforms, with a clear understanding of website architecture and design and user experience.
  • Experience of launching new online platforms to a complex brief.
  • Senior level experience in digital channel management.
  • Experience in increasing web traffic, conversion and growing online conversations.
  • Proven track record of using data and insights to adapt plans and improve results against set objectives.
  • Experienced (GAIQ or above are desirable) user of Google Analytics.
  • A broad knowledge of digital marketing ranging from SEO/SEM, PPC, email and databases and organic and paid social media.
  • Experience working in a web development environment (agency or client side).
  • Line management desirable


  • Understanding of effective design and design principles in context of websites
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate confidently and build effective relationships
  • Team player with good relationship building and influencing skills; enjoys working in a collaborative manner in an open, honest, and diverse environment
  • Capable of working across organisational boundaries and with senior internal stakeholders.
  • Ability and confidence to make sound judgments, drawing on relevant sources of information.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent data analysis skills.
  • High level of IT literacy.


  • This role has a salary range of £38,000 to £42,000 pa dependent on experience

Currently, during this extended lockdown period, this position is based from home. After the extended lockdown period, the postholder will be based in either our London or Edinburgh offices. Considerable UK travel will be expected.
