Sustainable Aviation Fuel Supplier Directory

This Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) Supplier Directory has been developed by Innovate UK Business Connect and Jet Zero Council SAF Delivery Group (JZC SAF DG) members to provide a supply of SAF to customers interested in reducing the carbon footprint of their air travel.

What is SAF?

Sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) is an alternative to fossil-based conventional jet fuel but offers 80-95% lower life-cycle carbon emission savings. SAF is made from renewable or sustainable sources such as used cooking oil, agricultural residues or household waste. Currently, up to 50% of SAF can be blended with conventional jet fuel and SAF is designed to meet the same strict quality standards as conventional jet fuel so that it can be simply dropped into existing aircraft and fuel infrastructure.

Why fly using SAF?

SAF is not presently produced in large volumes and many technologies are still under development, so the production costs are much higher than for conventional jet fuel. By selecting to purchase SAF, you are:

  • Accelerating the development of this new sustainable avenue for aviation
  • Incentivising future uptake of SAF within the UK and globally
  • Reducing the overall carbon footprint of your travel
  • Enabling the global ambition to decarbonise the aviation sector

Looking to fly on SAF?

The suppliers and producers in this directory can provide those wishing to fly on SAF with a range of supply chain options. This SAF offers carbon savings of up to 80% over the lifecycle of the product in comparison to conventional jet fuel, when fully replacing conventional kerosene.

To obtain additional information on the below options including supplier contact details, or to request a quote, please contact Innovate UK Business Connect on Jet Zero Council SAF Delivery Group.

Are you a commercial airline passenger wanting to fly on SAF?

Airlines listed on this page offer individual passengers the ability to reduce their in-flight emissions with Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). The purchased SAF is blended with conventional fuel before reaching the aircraft and integrated across storage and distribution infrastructure at strategic airports. This purchase-based approach means that the SAF bought can be attributed to each individual passenger.
