The service robot market is exhibiting strong growth. According to the International Federation of Robotics (IFR), there has been over 12% turnover in new professional service robots, and 16% turnover for the UK consumer service robots. It is estimated that these robot market trends will increase by 2030. This has led to highly descriptive road mapping activities such as the RAI landscape map, with the objective of articulating a vision for a stronger and more globally competitive UK service robotics, as well as identifying the capabilities for the transformation of industries.
