Industrial Maths
This team within KTN harnesses the power of mathematics to meet business needs and help a wide range of industries express problems in an accessible way. We also facilitate new partnerships with an extensive network of mathematical scientists and institutions across the UK.

We provide support by facilitating the access to academic researchers from across the country, signposting the relevant funding calls and initiatives and tailoring knowledge exchange mechanisms (such as study groups with industry) to rapidly triage potential challenges.
Given the pervasive nature of the mathematical sciences, we welcome any business or government department who has challenges which may be solved by mathematical sciences. These may relate to the access to support in optimisation, physical modelling, uncertainty quantification, operational research and statistics. Historically, we have supported organisations in the agri-food, high value manufacturing, energy systems sectors, but we are always keen to broaden these.
