Follow the KTN and Innovate UK in March for a Global Expert Mission in Advanced Therapies to Canada

This Mission will focus on innovation in Advanced Therapies (Cell and Gene Therapies) visiting Toronto and Vancouver, Canada, in March 2020.

 

The Expert Mission will ensure UK participants develop an understanding of the structure of the health and care systems in Canada, the eco-system and challenge areas related to advanced therapies and the areas of focus for innovation from the demand side. Visits and discussions will provide appropriate insight into where R&D is most active and the mechanisms that enable that activity.

 

Understanding the structure of the Innovation ecosystem will help develop UK understanding as well as ensuring bilateral partnerships can be developed. It is anticipated that discussions in Canada will build on its existing collaboration and strategic dialogues with UK.

 

The aim of the Expert Mission is to obtain insight into the advanced therapies landscape for Canada, identifying focus areas for co-development and the market potential.
