The Royce Materials Accelerator Forum 2018
Further information has been released ahead of The Royce Materials Accelerator Forum 2018.
The Royce Materials Accelerator Forum 2018 is being held on Tuesday 13th November at the National Graphene Institute at The University of Manchester. The Henry Royce Institute is the UK National Centre for Research and Innovation of Advanced Materials and supports SMEs with funding for research and development projects to accelerate the commercialisation of materials research and innovation. The Royce Materials Accelerator Forum is the first in a series of events from The Henry Royce Institute which brings together the SMEs leading materials innovation in the UK with funders, advisors, and supporters.
The event is particularly geared towards SMEs, start-ups and spin-outs that gain advantage from advanced materials, apply materials science in the health or biomedical sector, or that apply materials science for transport, electrification and related energy efficiency challenges. The event is a forum dedicated to supporting UK materials entrepreneurs, start-ups and SMEs, connecting businesses with funders, technical expertise and Royce facilities in order to drive innovation.
Delegates on the day can expect to hear about information on Royce funding opportunities for research projects, facilities access and how to apply. Success stories from established and growing materials-focused start-ups will also be shared, while you can organise one-to-one sessions with academics, technicians, and facilities managers to discuss specific needs for your organisation, while insights on materials research and development landscapes, as well as opportunities for business will be discussed. Speakers include Christopher J B Barkey, CEO of the Henry Royce Institute and Chief Scientist Professor Phil Withers, as well as KTN’s Brian McCarthy.
