Philippa is the Knowledge Transfer Adviser covering Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire and Derbyshire in the East Midlands.

The Knowledge Transfer Partnerships (KTPs) support businesses to engage with expert academic teams on a project-based collaboration delivering sustainable innovation with positive economic impact and additional societal or environmental benefits. Philippa looks after businesses supporting their projects with knowledge bases in many parts of the country. She also maintains relationships with a number of designated universities in relation to their participation in the programme.

Philippa has been a KTP Adviser since 2005, supporting partnerships in the East Midlands by building successful relationships between technology-based businesses and the knowledge base. Having experience in manufacturing, design and delivery of in-company management training courses and developing public sector policies, Philippa is well placed to provide support and guidance on opportunities for innovation and knowledge transfer in all sectors. She is a Chartered Manufacturing Engineer with a keen interest in professional development activities and business development through people – the KTA role enables raising awareness of innovation opportunities and motivating people to network and learn from each other’s network.
